“We should check the parameter to make sure we’re not being watched.” Snow said when the group of women had finally succeeded in building a small shelter and fire. “Mulan, would you join me? Emma and Aurora, you can go and look for some food. Just don’t stray too far away.”
“Actually…” Mulan placed her hand on Aurora’s shoulder to keep her from standing. “I’d rather not leave Aurora alone.”
Aurora looked up at Mulan, torn between gratitude at the sound of the very subtle concern lacking the warriors tone and indignation because Mulan obviously still didn’t trust her to take care of herself.
“She’ll be fine, Emma will be with her.” Snow waved Mulan’s concerns off as she sheathed her sword.
“Emma?” Mulan shot the silent blonde a sceptical look. “Do I have to remind you that Emma has no idea as to how to be inconspicuous? She’s clumsier than Aurora.”
“Hey!” Emma and Aurora exclaimed in unison their tones equally affronted.
”- Told you the steam would give us away .

Artie was usually way faster to the punch and with HG involved he certainly wasn’t pulling them. Still, the idea of trying to build a flux capacitor that ran on steam like in Star Wars (which they’d showed HG last week, and she’d totally loved it) on top of one of the shelving units in Alpha-56C was probably not the best idea ever.
Still the look on Artie’s face as HG peered down at him, goggles askew, while whispering, “Bollocks,” was pretty damn priceless.
(Artie later informed them that they’d been building their Star Wars invention on top of some original phasers from Star Trek: TOS that worked a little too well; and that the bad artifact juju had probably nearly killed them.
Claudia made HG swear after that that she would always check the manifest.
To this day, HG never has.)
